GEORGE JOINS TELUS

Have you ever noticed how often George Stroumboulopoulos relies on the words "tell us"?
It becomes noticeable and really irritating after a while.
As in "she'll be here to tell us" or "they're gonna tell us".
And during the interviews he'll often fall back on "tell us" as in "you were swallowed by a whale but got out. Tell us about that, what was that like?"

George in '84 and now ...

even 23 years ago he was using the word "awesome!"

... now if he would just close his mouth and hold still we could make a plaster-cast
of his head and reproduce it so that everyone could have his head on their mantle-piece.

George Stroumboulopoulos's Greatest Hit

Still the best "George" moment.
The evidence suggests that he was offered the chance to be a judge on Canadian Idol

Finally ... Paul McGrath does a great post at The Hour's blog

Stroumboulopoulos: "... we're Canadian, we don't care about anything."

And Stroumboulopoulos will be celebrating the best of Canada's contribution to TV on Oct. 28 while hosting the Geminis in Regina, a city he thinks is the perfect setting for such a show.

"Doing a show like that in a town like that is way better than doing a show in Toronto or Vancouver, and I'm from Toronto. The problem with big cities, we're Canadian, we don't care about anything. It's like 'Oh, blah, blah, it's an award show, who cares?'" he explains. "You go to Regina? Party!"

Cool chicks who don't want anyone to know their real names

This is a very slick site, possibly created by the same group that did the defunct Hour Forum, and they can't stop thinking about George.

And yet even though they are always going to agree with George, and say how much they like him, they are still too embarrassed to reveal their true identities.
Can't say that I blame them.
